Da haben sich die Jungs und Mädels von Wizard aber gehörig Zeit gelassen…lange haben wir gewartet, nun wurden die ersten Karten für das diesjährige Commander-Set bekannt gegeben. Wieder wird es fünf Decks geben, dieses Mal jedoch zum ersten Mal 4-Color. Dementsprechend kann man bei den derzeit gespoilerten 13 Karten lediglich von einer einzigen ableiten, in welchem Deck sie sich befinden wird. Hierbei handelt es sich eine legendäre Kreatur aus dem WUBG-Deck: Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice.
Darüber hinaus wurden Karten mit bisher insgesamt zwei neuen Keywords gespoilert:
Partner erlaubt es Euch, zwei Commander zu haben, solange beide über diese Fähigkeit verfügen. Das Besondere daran ist, dass die Karten mit diesem Keyword zweifarbig sind und zusammen die Color-Identity des Deck ergeben/festlegen.
Undaunted reduziert die Kosten eines Spells um [C] pro Gegner.Darüber hinaus gibt es ein Wiedersehen mit alten Mechaniken wie bspw. Domain und – das freut mich besonders! – Flanking; und mit der Rückkehr zu Flanking kehren wir auch (zumindest teilweise) zurück auf den an Afrika angelehnten Kontinent Jamuraa. Insgesamt kann man nur sagen: Da wird noch einiges auf uns zukommen, man darf gespannt sein. Auf uns warten vier Decks zu je 100 Karten, insgesamt soll es 56 neue Karten geben. Ebenfalls neu ist, dass in jedem Deck vier (nicht wie bis zuvor drei) Commander-Karten sein werden; diese werden im Gegensatz zu den vorherigen Commander-Editionen in Foil erscheinen.
